Ribbon Dance

*Please note* We have changed the instructions for cutting of Color A. If you have purchased this pattern prior to May 14, 2024 send us an email and we will give you that updated information.

Ribbon Dance is our newest pattern. This stunning quit looks complicated with it's woven strips of fabric, but you'll be surprised at how easily and quickly it comes together.

Built from one block, Ribbon Dance is best suited for the intermediate quilter. It can be done if you're an experienced beginner too, as knowledge of how fabric stretches on the bias is important. Each block will have bias edges before combining all for your quilt top. So be mindful to not stretch while pressing/ironing.

When choosing fabrics for Ribbon Dance, I suggest pulling fabrics with several values. 2 Dark shades, 2 medium shades and 2 lighter shades to really show off the pattern nicely. If all fabrics are of the same value, you don't see the over all pattern very well, and especially not from a distance. When in doubt, lay out your fabrics overlapping a bit, take a photo and change that image to black and white. If all the fabrics look like the same color gray, you'll want to pick different fabrics, add in a white or light gray, a shade or two lighter or darker than what you have chosen. Keep taking pictures until you see a good variety of shades.

As always, if you have questions, shoot me an email or a message on Insta and I'll help in any way I can!

Happy quilting.
