Grizzly's Trio Pattern Release!

The past month and a half since launching Anna B at home has been filled with so many emotions. The excitement and joy of sharing my creative adventures with the world. And the grief that comes from losing a father. My dad was a wonderful man. Kind, loving, funny and incredibly supportive. He was so proud of my quilting and baking endeavors, and gave great advice and opinions when ever I asked him questions. He was truly the best, and I miss him dearly. I'm beyond grateful to have a close, loving and supportive family system where we can all lean on each other right now and always.

While grieving, I have kept busy at home. Because it's nice to keep busy. So, I've posted on insta as I have prepared for this new pattern launch, visited the Spencer Museum of Art which I will write about soon, baked my favorite pies, apple and pumpkin, and I've tried to adapt to the new normal.

Through it all, I am really happy to be sharing the Grizzly's Trio pattern with you all. The quilt gets it's name from my husband and my nickname for him, Griz/Grizzly/Grizzly Adams. Loving and supportive with a wicked case of FOMO. Griz, known to everyone else as Kent, had to try quilting. His first venture into sewing and quilting was a perfectly pieced (truly perfect, it's so unfair) rhombus sample. And because it was so perfect, he took fabric scraps, cut and placed pieces on the design wall and came up with a large block. We used the small quilt as a diaper pad at my parents house, then it sat for a few years until I found it again this spring. I looked it over and knew with some minor adjustments it needed to be real pattern. So Grizzly's Trio was born! How does trio come into play, you may be asking? I know you're not, but just roll with me, mmmkay? I based the pattern off of 3 fat quarters ie three 18" x 22" pieces of fabric that when cut and sewn together, result in three beautiful quilt blocks. Grizzly's Trio. boom.

There are so many possibilities with this pattern, which might be why I love it so much. It looks incredible in fun solids, wacky patterns and in any size. A great pattern to use a coveted fq bundle, or the perfect excuse to buy a new one. Grow your quilt in size by adding 3 fq's at a time. It only takes 3 to make a table topper, a fun day project. Or go for gold with 81 and make a king! I hope you'll give Grizzly's Trio a try, and when you do please tag me, I would love to see what you create!
